Can Cellulite Be Prevented In The First Place?

We know the famous phrase the says "Prevention is Better than Cure". If we have known the consequences, we would be more determined to prevent it from happening from the beginning, won't we?

However, the sad truth about cellulite is that it CANNOT be prevented, though we could do something to reduce it's effects. By the way, there is certainly no difference between the fat tissues we called cellulite and the normal fat that constitute obesity. It is only the way the fat is laid out beneath the skin.

As mentioned in my previous post, men compared to women are less susceptible to getting cellulite. Whereas women regardless of their age, race, weight or height tend to build up cellulite more easily especially around their thighs, arms and stomach. It is primarily because women's skin is generally thinner than men's.

Though preventing cellulite is not possible for now, that doesn't mean we remain indifferent to unhealthy habits like smoking, eating high fat foods, consuming caffeine and alcohol and excessive sunbathing, as these activites tend to dry up the skin. Instead, maintaining a healthy diet comprising vegetables, fruits, vitamins & minerals as well as drinking plenty of water will keep one's skin soft & moisturised & thus lessen the effect of cellulite built up.

So much for now...
